Escambia County Actively Monitoring Invest #92L
Escambia County is actively monitoring Invest #92L, which is forecasted to bring heavy rain to the area throughout the week. Residents are encouraged to monitor the risk and have multiple ways to receive weather updates.
Invest #92L has a 90% chance of development over the next 48 hours, according to NOAA NWS National Hurricane Center. An increased risk for high surf and rip currents will affect the area, along with heavy rainfall. While there is still uncertainty in the system’s eventual track, residents are reminded to remain weather aware.

All Escambia County beaches are at a High Risk of rip currents continuing into Saturday, Oct. 10. Life-threatening rip currents are expected during this time, and the surf will be dangerous for all levels of swimmers.
